It’s the Truth
Wanna know the truth? Well, truth is, you don’t smell like a pretty, pretty flower ’cause…ya stink. No, really, you, in your natural state, you stink! Stink. Stank. Stunk.
Face it, we all stink and that’s why we wear daily deodorant, use frufru soaps, and apply expensive colognes and perfumes, etc. We stink, and we don’t want to stink.
But I want you to stink. Go ahead, exude your natural prevailing pungency. Open wide your arms and allow your musty musk to be made known! Do it. Do. It. But uh, please…do it by yourself.
What the Actual Heck?
No, I’m not some weirdo who adores your odoriferousness. What I mean to say is a lot less creepy and actually pretty simple. I think it’s a good thing, maybe even a healthy* thing to go without deodorant and skin creams / lotions or perfumes at least one day a week. This is especially important if your deodorants and skin care products contain any of the following, potentially troublesome chemicals:
- Aluminum (or sodium bicarbonate that isn’t explicitly aluminum-free)
- Propylene Glycol
- Synthetic Fragrance
- Parabens (Ex: methylparaben, sodium butylparaben, etc)
- Petrochemicals (Ex: paraffin wax, benzene, PEG, mineral oil, petrolatum, etc)
- Phthalates (Ex: di-(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), dibutyl phthalate (DBP), etc)
- Sulfates (Ex: sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium laureth sulfate, etc)
If you decide to do this, to abstain and get funky, and you live with other humans, you’ll probably want to let them know what’s going on first, especially if it’s summertime… Yes. Also, you might want to consider trying some healthier deodorants and skincare products. Here are a few great examples:
Get Funky Day
Give it a try and have yourself a Funky Day. Your pits, your pores, your skin and your organs will smile and thank you. Those around you on the other hand, may frown and shun you… But that okay, just tell them to get funky too!
